This is Hardanger, not Aida Cloth

There is a big difference between Aida Cloth and Hardanger, one that I'm currently researching. It looks like Aida is woven in a "locked" way with multiple threads, whereas Hardanger is woven with two threads that lay on top of each other (think of a woven pie crust for the look).

What this means is that my stitches sometimes slip into the middle and disappear, or become a backstitch with this cloth. I should mention that I stitch using the Danish method (complete a row of half stitches, then go back and complete the X), and not the English (finish every X as you make them).

I'm making small cross stitch pixel art, which I want to sew onto burlap bags. This product makes me worried that if I don't sew it down solid and put a good, firm backing on it, the weave can be pulled out and ruin the work. I'll report back on any issues I have later. If I manage to remember.
